Terms of Service

LazyBudget ("App") is provided by Kenex LLC ("we," "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

The App helps you track bills, income, and transactions. You may connect bank accounts via Plaid or import transaction files. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the App.

2. Account and Sign-In

Use of the App requires sign-in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your device secure. We do not store your Apple ID credentials; authentication is handled by Apple.

3. Data and Privacy

Local data: Bills, income, transactions, and similar data are stored on your device (and, when you connect a bank, processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy).
No cloud sync: The App does not sync your budget data to our servers. If you sign out or delete the App, that data is removed from the device and we have no copy.
Bank connections: If you connect a bank via Plaid, Plaid's terms and privacy policy apply to that service. We receive transaction data from Plaid to display in the App.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which you should read.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

In-app purchases: The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions (e.g., Bank Sync — monthly at $4.99/month) and one-time purchases (e.g., File Import Unlock — $4.99). Payment is processed by Apple; Apple's payment terms apply.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Restore purchases: Subscriptions and purchases are tied to your Apple ID. On a new device, use "Restore purchases" to restore access.
Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies.

5. No Financial or Legal Advice

The App is for personal budgeting and tracking only. It does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KENEX LLC (AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF GREATER).

8. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated in the App.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time (e.g., by signing out or deleting the App). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or for other operational or legal reasons.

10. General

Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of the company's incorporation, without regard to conflict of law principles.
